Schedule
Below is the draft schedule which may be subject to change depending on the number of teams that register and court availability.

Women's Division 1
We have made the decision to run the Women's Division 1 2025 Autumn Competition in a format similar to the Men's Z League Competition. This decision has not been made lightly, but after conducting the survey and reaching out to team contacts there was a high risk that we wouldn't have a competition this season without trying something new.
Competition Format
-
There will be 4 teams with uniforms provided
-
Players will register interest through an EOI form
-
A sub-committee will select 4 captains based on the EOI's
-
A scrimmage will be held before the competition commences for captains to become familiar with players
-
After the scrimmage session a draft will be conducted
-
At the draft Captains selection order will be drawn from hat
-
Selections will then flow as follows:
Round 1
Captain 1 - 1st pick
Captain 2 - 2nd pick
Captain 3 - 3rd pick
Captain 4 - 4th pick
Round 2
Captain 4 - 5th pick
Captain 3 - 6th pick
Captain 2 - 7th pick
Captain 1 - 8th pick
-
That order is repeated until draft is complete
-
Players will then need to formally register through basketball connect once they have been allocated to a team
-
Fees will be $160
-
The competition will commence 17 March 2025 and will include 9 rounds and 2 weeks of finals
Competition Fees
Competition player fees will be set at $190.00 for each new player and 7 players will be required to enter a team. Competition fees are payable when joining a team via the online process through BasketballConnect and there is the option of paying fees upfront in full or by instalments.

Team Registration
GameDay is being replaced by a new platform called BasketballConnect. Refer to the BasketballConnect Team Registration instruction sheet.
Player Registration
All players must join their team & pay competition fees (and be currently registered) via the online process before they can take the court for round 1. The team manager must ensure all players have joined their team prior to commencement of competition and follow up any players who have not joined. If players have not successfully joined their team prior to round 1 they may not be allowed to take the court until the online process has been completed.
Players in the senior competition must be sixteen years of age. Players under sixteen years may apply to the Board for an exemption to play in a senior team based on player ability, division nominating and parental written consent.
Refer to the BasketballConnect Member Registration instruction sheet.
Players Looking for a Team
Please email info@basketballwagga.net.au including name, date of birth, contact phone number and email address and which competition you are wanting to play in.
Scoring
All teams will require a bench scorer. If a scorer is not allocated at the start of the game the team may be penalised.
Courtside scoring will be used from Round 1 of competitions. This is iPad based and replaces the scoresheet. Again, it is imperative that each team supply at least one person to do scoring duties for their game.
